PostgreSQL isn't actually terrible, of course. But it's not perfect, either, and it's important to be honest about what is wrong with it so we can improve it. This is a discussion, from a 10 year PostgreSQL DBA and consultant's point of view, about what is not great about PostgreSQL and what we could do to fix those problems.
