Architecture of Postgres cluster in Yandex.Cloud

Many Yandex services are based on managed services for PostgreSQL in Yandex.Cloud. I work on backup tool WAL-G and connection pooler Odyssey on behalf of Yandex.Cloud Data Platform. Also, we have our technologies of building highly available clusters, not open-sourced yet. And working on all this software is not (just) an entertainment, it's a necessity. In this talk, I will discuss the architecture of a typical Postgres cluster at Yandex.Cloud, design decisions and tradeoffs.
