Alex co-founded a Norwegian startup whose managed Elasticsearch service was acquired by Elastic in 2015, becoming Elastic Cloud. After almost 10 years of Elasticsearch, he now works for Cognite.
At Cognite, Alex focuses on the databases behind Cognite's contextualisation platform, where his favourite database Postgres is increasingly important.
When he's not working with databases and performance problems in the cloud, he likes to jump out of planes and play with real clouds.
