Gianni is the Global Vice President, Practice Lead for High Availability at EDB, helping customers and colleagues in the implementation of highly available distributed architectures. Before working at EDB, he worked at the University of Florence as a researcher in Mathematics.
Gianni has been using Free Software for almost 30 years. As a member of the Italian PostgreSQL User Group (ITPUG), he helped organize the first European PGDay in Prato, Italy (2008), and many editions of the the Italian PGDay.
He is an author of 6 editions of the PostgreSQL Administration Cookbook.
