Monica Sarbu is the founder and CEO of Xata, a Postgres platform built for the agent era. Xata enables every developer and agentic workflow to have its own isolated Postgres environment with production-like data, without the cost and complexity of managing full database copies.
Before Xata, Monica founded Packetbeat, an open-source network monitoring solution acquired by Elastic in 2015. Packetbeat evolved into Elastic Beats, one of the most widely adopted observability ecosystems in the world.
When she's not thinking about databases, Monica enjoys traveling and exploring the world with her daughter.
