Room: Saal A1 Level: Intermediate

As digital sovereignty and open source strategies gain momentum across Germany’s public sector, PostgreSQL has emerged as a strategic database platform for government agencies, administrations, and critical infrastructure organizations. In this talk, we share Proventa‘s practical experience from more than 8 years of designing, operating, and optimizing PostgreSQL environments for large public institutions and we outline the key technical and organizational factors that drive successful PostgreSQL adoption. Using real world examples, we highlight how PostgreSQL enables modernization, reduces vendor lock in, and improves long term cost efficiency. Attendees will gain a clear understanding of how PostgreSQL can serve as a robust and future proof cornerstone of government IT strategies.
