Takis (Panagiotis) Stathopoulos Percona
Takis (Panagiotis) Stathopoulos is an Enterprise Architect with Percona, focused with on mapping enterprise database requirements to open source software solutions, while making their open source database journey a success. Database interests include security and compliance-related solutions, databases over K8s stacks and complex open source uptake and migration projects. Previously, he has been a Senior Solution Architect for a leading Systems Integrator and a world-class Software-as-a-Service scholarly content platform provider. Past formative experience includes leading the Infrastructure and DevOps team for a large-scale scientific research infrastructure delivering Open Access scientific content, architecting and operating a stack featuring DevOps and open source technologies at scale. Takis Stathopoulos has received his diploma (1999), and PhD (2004), in the area of distributed network applications from the Electrical and Computer Engineering School of the National Technical University of Athens at 1999 and 2004 respectively. First involvement with Open Source was patching a Linux 2.2 Kernel for traffic shaping, with subsequent years being active in the local Open Source community, evangelizing Open Source solutions in the Governmental and Enterprise space. He has over 60 publications in peer-reviewed scientific journals and conferences.
