Jean-Paul promotes Free Software and PostgreSQL since 2000 and takes actively part in the PostgreSQL community.
He co-founded the french PostgreSQLFr NPO in 2004, then created the french-speaking PostgreSQL website in 2005, and still maintain it (http://www.PostgreSQL.fr/). He's the actual elected President of PostgreSQLFr NPO.
He was also co-founded PostgreSQL Europe in 2008, and acted as Treasurer in the board up to 2013.
He created Dalibo in 2005 and left it in 2021, after 16 years of great work with a great team. After 4 years at Crunchy Data, he's now helping customers and internal data engineering team at Supabase.
