Marco Slot has worked on Distributed PostgreSQL for the past decade as the architect of Citus, first at Citus Data and later at Microsoft. Apart from Citus, he also developed several other extensions, including pg_cron. Prior to Citus Data, Marco was an early engineer on Amazon CloudFront and Route 53, and did a PhD in cooperative self-driving cars at Trinity College Dublin.
