pg_failover_slots: The missing piece

pg_failover_slots is a new extension released this year that facilitates maintaining logical replication and logical change capture during physical replication failover and switchover. This is, arguably, an essential component of being able to use logical replication reliably.
In this presentation, I will show the ideas and design behind pg_failover_slots, which challenges it solves, and how it can be configured. I will also discuss how it can be integrated into other replication management systems such as Patroni.
