This presentation will begin by illustrating the main scenarios where Transparent Data Encryption is needed; we will then show how it works, from the viewpoint of the user, and discuss the performance impact of enabling this feature. In the last part of this presentation we will dive into the technical details of its implementation, including the interaction with external components such as key management software.
