Paul Meyer
Paul Meyer is a Principal Software Engineering Manager for the Azure PostgreSQL team at Microsoft. He has a wealth of expertise in Linux operating system internals and its interfaces with the Azure cloud. With a career spanning over 15 years, Paul has optimized various aspects of running PostgreSQL on Azure as a service.
In his current role, Paul leads the team responsible for a significant portion of the data plane, focusing on telemetry, security, and performance of PostgreSQL instances in the Azure environment.
Before joining the PostgreSQL team around three years ago, Paul was a contributor in the Azure Linux team. He made notable open-source contributions, particularly to HashiCorp's Packer project. Additionally, Paul had some minor but impactful contributions to various Go packages.
