From scratch to a three node Patroni cluster

Patroni is one of the most popular tools to make PostgreSQL highly available. In this workshop, you'll setup a three node Patroni cluster from scratch, using your dedicated VMs in AWS. All you need is your notebook, a browser based on Chromium, and a PDF reader. We'll start with high availability concepts and the PostgreSQL installation in the morning. Once we have that, we'll continue with the Patroni installation and configuration right after lunch. By the end of the day, you'll be able to do planned switchovers, you'll understand un-planned failovers, and you'll know how to operate a Patroni cluster. You'll find all the steps in the slides, but you'll be busy on the keyboard all day. There is no better way to learn than doing it on your own.
