Call For Community Events & Activities

The Call For Community Events & Activities for PostgreSQL Europe 2025 in Riga, Latvia, is now open.

Unlike previous years, this year there will not be a day of training sessions on the Tuesday before the main conference. Instead we're opening it up to the community to suggest events and activities which people are interested in running on Tuesday Oct 21st.

Your proposed event or activity would span either the full day or half a day on Tuesday, Oct 21st. If you have an idea for a different length for a meeting or session, please let us know as part of the submission, and we will see if we can accommodate your request. Your event or activity would be open for registration by attendees of the conference. We're able to accommodate events or activities from a few attendees up to 50 attendees.

Your event or activity should be focused around the PostgreSQL community and not specific to a corporate interest. We prefer to see events that are interactive with the participants rather than just presentation-style events.

As an organization we do need to cover the venue costs associated with your proposed event or activity. This will likely be borne by your attendees, however we will consider proposals where these costs are happy to be subsidized or covered by the organizers of the proposed event or activity.

Your proposed event could be across a wide range of topics and formats. We're not aiming to restrict the community's creativity in the type of events or activities proposed.

  • Examples could be:
  • Developer Meeting
  • Community Summit
  • Extension Summit
  • Driver Summit
  • Everything Backup Tools
  • Unconference
  • A PostgreSQL extension hacking session
  • Art & crafts room
  • Your idea here

We are accepting proposals for half day or full day sessions on Tuesday, Oct 21st, before the conference. If you have a topic you want to organize an event around, please submit a proposal to contact@pgconf.eu.

We will extend one free ticket to the organizers of each accepted meeting.
