PostgreSQL Conference Europe 2026

Alicja Kucharczyk is a PostgreSQL expert with 15 years of experience and the Product Owner of Guardioz. She specializes in performance tuning and production troubleshooting across the stack - from SQL and database internals to Linux, storage and workload behavior - and has worked on replication, high availability and migrations. She worked in the Azure Database for PostgreSQL product group at Microsoft and has many years of experience in PostgreSQL consulting, helping teams around the world design, run and fix their PostgreSQL platforms.

Guardioz gives PostgreSQL performance guidance to teams that run PostgreSQL in production without a dedicated DBA. It reads the statistics of PostgreSQL servers that teams run themselves and turns them into ranked findings, each with the reasoning behind it and a safe next step.

She is the founder and organizer of the Warsaw PostgreSQL Users Group, one of the organizers of PGConf.PL, and a speaker at PostgreSQL conferences and meetups.
