Graph Queries: Reverted, Distributed, and Beyond

SQL/PGQ (the ISO/IEC SQL standard extension for property graph queries) was added to PostgreSQL, then reverted. Ayoub Kazar, from Data Bene's R&D team, explains what's being cooked to push it back in, and how we can make it compete against native graph databases.
But single-node graph queries only go so far. Graphs at Meta scale (we can replace this by domains as an example like "social media, biology, supply chain ...), billions of vertices and edges, can't be easily handled on a single machine. This is where Citus can help distributed graph queries to that scale.
Ultimately, both paths converge on IvorySQL. The goal ? A fully distributed property graph database with Oracle-compatible syntax.
